Franz Fanon is the recognized representative of post-colonialism theory. For Fanon's works are featured with the dialectic thinking, ambiguity and many loopholes, the postcolonial theorists' interpretation and application on the theory are different. However, Fanon's post-colonialism thought can be understood via three key words through the theory. Firstly is the culture. Through the combination between psychoanalysis and cultural critique, Fanon creates the micro critique on the colonialism except the previous macro critique on the colonialism. Moreover, the culture is an important way for Fanon to seek the liberation,he divides the cultural liberation in the colony into three stages: "dialectically absorb the western culture;learn to explore own cultural tradition; completely awaken and put into the national liberation movement". Secondly is the class. Fanon, participates in the career to liberate Algeria by himself, holds that Freud, Lacan and others' psychoanalysis can not solve the real colonial liberation, therefore, he turns to the Marxism theory with the most revolutionary spirit in the 20th century, and proposes new revolutionary subject and road based on refugee proletariat. Finally is the national liberation. Fanon divides the colonial liberation into two stages. The task in the first stage is to overthrow the imperialism's colonial rule in the world and accompanied racism, and realize the political and economic independence in the national country. The second stage is the revolutionary stage after the national independence. The main task in the stage is not only liberating the colony, but also the cultural reconstruction in the world established based on the mutual respect among the races getting rid of the narrow racial differentiation. The complete theoretical system is built via finally integrating the individual, race, culture and other problems concerned by Fanon by three key words. In conclusion, the charm of Fanon's post-colonialism theory lies in his insight on the colonial discourse and his anticipatory analysis on the society, culture and ethnic problems about the colonialism problem. Fanon's post-colonialism theory undoubtedly provides important reference value for us to understand the current social history, cultural conflict, identity cognition and other problems.
