Edmund Burke is one of the most important and most interesting people in the history of thought.His thought rooted in the traditions of British constitution and common law.Although his contrast attitude reflected in American and French revolutions of similar nature makes his thought seems to exist in the ideology mutually hedged in the current context “by leaps and bounds”,the connotations of conservationism and liberalism in Burke's thought are interconnected with each other and can be traced to the same origin.That is why makes his conservative thought of constitution vibrant.Constitutionalism originates and grows from Western countries,and has always imprinted the traces of the basic political structure of modern western politics,but the key elements and ideas of constitutionalism of Burke's thought is not exclusively for Western societies.Today,China has gradually entered the "constitutional politics" era,the rule of law and rule by constitution increasingly popular,Burke's thought of constitutionalism is not only a knowledge of the reserves for the constitutional choice in China,but also set up a "common law constitutional system" for the China model,more importantly,his thought has a certain reference for the development of China's system.
