Diplomacy develops from internal affairs that decidedly give birth to diplomatic policy.As the birthplace of parliament,England cannot develop without parliament that significantly has a marked impact on the diplomacy.In the middle and later period of 18 th century,Industrial Revolution happened in England,which promoted England to develop from agricultural economy to industrial economy.The society structure in England changed with Industrial Revolution and overseas trade.The free traders,most of whom are business capitalists,burgeon in the short time.These free traders,most of who benefited from Industrial Revolution and free trade,economically kept pace with noble class.Therefore,they ask the political rights in proportion to their wealth.However,the political status is hard to get because of the impediment of the noble.Gradually trade policy gradually changed from mercantilism to liberalism.The comparison between the failure of 1820 petition of London merchants and the success of 1840 motion of Opium War doesn't only demonstrate the significant transformation of British trade policy but also the change of interest groups.The condition where the little spark kindles a great fire of free trade wouldn't happen without the parliament reform.A reform happened in England parliament in 1832,which profoundly drove free trade to develop with the gradual change of trade policy.In this thesis,all of these can be regarded as the interaction between internal affairs and diplomacy via interest,information and system.
