Content: Metacognition is recently been concerned as one of the popular theory of psychology.So,the Metacognition application became more and more important in modern education research.The thesis demonstrates the role of metacognition in primary school music appreciation teaching from two aspects based on Metacognition:the guidance of teachers and the use of students.The author discusses the important significance of metacognition learning strategy for cultivating the autonomous learning ability of primary students through the experimental study of elementary student’s metacognitive music appreciation teaching.The author makes the empirical analysis of the relationship between metacognition and the student’s music appreciation ability.Four hundred and thirty-one students of Nanguanling Primary School are chosen as the subjects.The author has an evaluation of the experimental results by the before measurement method and after measurement method with the survey paper and music appreciation ability test made due to the teaching experience based on the Pedagogy,psychology and statistics theory in order to make out if the metacognition ability practice could promote the autonomous learning ability of primary students.The results demonstrates:1.The guidance based on Metacognition theory can promote the music appreciation ability of primary students.2.The guidance based on Metacognition theory can promote the teaching of teachers.3.The guidance based on Metacognition theory can promote the autonomous learning ability of primary students.The results provide both the theoretical and practical basis of promoting the autonomous learning ability of primary students.
