Investigation And Research On The Current Situation Of Extracurricular Sports Activities In Experimental School Of Guangming New District, Shenzhen

Along with the rapid development of economy, people's quality of life has been improved. However, the national students physical health test indicates that though the nutritional status of youngsters' has been greatly improved, the physical quality of students among all the age groups is decreasing and they are faced with serious health problems. To find out the reasons for the phenomenon, the thesis will investigate the implementation of extra-curricular activities and the participation of pupils in extra-curricular activities in elementary school. And then feasible solutions to tackle the problems are proposed.I adopt the method of questionnaire, interview, literature review, mathematical statistics and logical analysis to investigate the implementation of extra-curricular activities and the participation of students in extra-curricular activities in Guangming New District of Experimental School in Shenzhen from many perspectives. The result shows that:various kinds of sports competition are held on time and sports club activities are held regularly; pupils have great interest and reasonable motivation to attend extracurricular sports activities. Running and playing badminton are the main activities and moderate intensity activities within 30 to 60 minutes are preferred..The result also shows the problems as following:the number of elementary school students to participate extracurricular sports activities is few and the activities are monotonous with little skill; community sports organizers are insufficient; the type of sports equipment in school is comparatively monotonous which cannot meet the requirement of elementary school students to participate in extra-curricular activities.To solve the above problems, I propose the following solutions:multi-level sports should be held and appropriate sports projects should be developed to meet the requirements of both the boys and the girls respectively by school; communities are encouraged to organize activities and strengthen the community sports organization personnel training,At the same time,it is more reasonable for communities to organize special activities for pupils at the appropriate time of the day; the society is supposed to expand sports investment channels to improve the physical infrastructure and preferential policies for investors should be made.
