In order to solve the problems of understanding the depth of knowledge, the lack of relevance and consistency, Science Education started an active exploration. In Britain, Australia, Canada, the United States and other countries and regions, science curriculum standard was revised, emphasizing the core of core ideas and understanding, and organizing science curriculum content around the core ideas. In our country, the new curriculum system was constructed, drawing on the experience of the international curriculum reform. For physics curriculum, curriculum reform paid more attention to students'development, to cultivate students' scientific core literacy. It also showed that our physical course changes was near synchronous with the direction of the development of international science education. Specific to the physics teaching, the physics teachers should have a deep understanding into the core ideas, use learning progression to deal with the core ideas, transform the memory facts to the understanding of the concepts for students, track the procession of students' cognitive systematically around the core ideas, and deepen the student's deep understanding of the core ideas gradually.The core ideas of middle school physics is different from the traditional physic concepts, it is science ideas in the center position of middle school physics, and it is the results of experiments. Learning Progressions is a kind of description, which describes a typical way of thinking or learning path for students to follow, in various stages of learning knowledge of the same theme, especially in the process of conceptual understanding. This study took the movement and interaction relationship for example, researched the learning progressions of mechanics core ideas, the main work includes four aspects.1. Reviewed of related literature, queried information, to make clear the reason, development, necessity, significance and research status at home and abroad of the core ideas and its' learning progressions, and then made deep-seated extension and exploration, so as to determine the research methods.2. From the curriculum standard, analyzed the physics textbooks, combed the general concept and the scientific facts in the theme of the movements and interactions. The concept map showed the link between the scientific concepts of mechanics. From the mechanical knowledge, mechanical experiments and physics thinking of the three aspects of in-depth understanding, the paper analyze and build the learning progressions of "Newton's laws of motion".3. Measured students of different grades by FCI, explored the status of students' learning progressions and problems in the development of the core idea. Based on the study, the paper took the learning progressions as a supplement for the theoretical analysis.4. According to the status of students' understanding and the development requirements of the learning progressions, the paper put forward some suggestions for the teaching of mechanics.Through the research of this topic, the author drew the conclusions as follows.1. Understanding of the learning progression:Progression is a specific pedal point used to stepping in the learning process of student's cognitive development. It is essentially due to many pre-scientific concepts. Progression is established on the measured data of students, not just up to the logical structure of knowledge. Therefore, the establish of the learning progression is an iterative process.2. Analyzing of the learning progression:The learning progression includes not only the knowledge understanding of the core concept, also contains experimental methods and thinking in physics learning. This paper use concept map to analyze the core idea of the learning progression, and FCI to evaluate students' status of the understanding of concepts. From the concept map, it's obvious that the study of the core idea can't be finished in one step, and the investigation revealed that the starting point of learning progression is the misconception.3. The suggestions of teaching mechanics based on the learning progression: The purpose of taking mechanical core idea as a guide for teaching is to transform students' perceptions of the misconception. Put the life scene into teaching, in concept formation stage, attach importance to the accuracy of concept; in the concept of deepening stage, pay attention to the mobility of concept; and enhance the application of concept map, to diversify the methods of teaching evaluation.
