Physical concept is the basis of physics theoretical system and the basic elements of thinking, which decides its important role in physics teaching. It is a key procedure that students can understand the concepts through physics concept teaching to obtain a clear and whole concept system. The traditional physics concept teaching attaches great importance to the understanding of concepts, on which College Entrance Examination also requires students to focus. However, it is not just enough for physics concepts teaching to merely pursue the understanding of knowledge. With large amounts of data increasing, the age of informatizaiton needs people to acquire higher ability to select and deal with data. Moreover, we need more flexible and more efficient ability to think as well as understand to adapt to the survival environment. Therefore, "understanding" should be rethink from the perspective of "surviving". It is significant that we find the value of "understanding" and how to reach the "understanding" from the physics concept teaching.According to the present teaching of physics concept, the author raises two basic questions:first, what is "real concept understanding"? Second,how to achieve the "real concept understanding"? Driven by these two questions, the author found "teaching for understanding" in the process of reviewing literature. Researchers abroad have been studying the connotation of "understanding" and proposed the ideological system of "teaching for understanding" during the long time of teaching practice. In addition, they also put forward a series of theory on teaching objectives, design, and evaluation. Based on previous studies, the author attempts to discuss the teaching theory of physics concept understanding and to do the text practice. If the physics concept teaching is soil, "teaching for understanding" is the seed, let us expect what new fruits it will grow up?Mainly using the method of literature research, This article first sorts out the new theory, puts forward the theory of "the understanding of physics concept teaching" and try to complete the teaching design. The author starts the research work from two aspect of theory study and teaching design respectively and have answered these two basic questions.The part of theory includes the chapter two, three and four, respectively discusses the "physics concept teaching", "the theory of understanding teaching " and "the idea of teaching for understanding physics concept". The three chapters discusses the physics concept teaching theory and its present situation, introduces the development of the comprehension teaching and the related theory, and concludes the development idea about the teaching of physics concept comprehension.The practice part of this paper consists of the chapter five and six. Firstly, the author constructs "the frame structure of teaching design about physics concept comprehension", secondly, takes the content of electrostatic as an example to make a new teaching design, then, comparing the new teaching design frame with the traditional, finds some differences in idea and contents of their, finally discusses the applicability of the new frame.
