Since the mid and late 1970 s,more attention has been paid to the cognition of people in real life in the cognitive research.In recent years,with the development of cognitive science and psychology,people gradually realize that “body”,not only means the discipline “body” in the aspect of sociology or the biological “body” in the aspect of physiology,but also has the meaning and role of cognition in teaching.It is the core content and viewpoint of the second generation of cognitive science which plays an important role in teaching.Electrician Basis course,the extension of the subject of physics in junior high school,is a compulsory course in electronic vocational school,and it is the theoretical basis of practical skills.However,the students in grade one were bored about "Electrician basis" because of its large quantities of concept,principles and content.Gradually,the students felt difficult in this course and then began hate it due to their low mathematical level and bad study habits.Therefore,in order to improve vocational students' interest in "Electrician basis" learning and teaching quality,the teachers are supposed to change the teaching concepts and strategies.Based on the analysis of the theory of embodied cognition and interest in learning,this paper illustrates the characteristics of the classroom teaching in the aspect of embodied cognition.Furthermore,researches on students' learning state and interest were carried out in a vocational school.The grade one students majored in mechatronics were required to finish the self-report student questionnaire.The questionnaire revealed that students were not interested in learning Electrician Basis.To solve this problem,the teacher applied the theory of embodied cognition into the classroom teaching.Finally,a post-experiment questionnaire was used to test the effectiveness of the application of the embodied cognition strategy and the researcher carried out the teaching reflection.Literature research,investigation,case analysis and comparative research methods were applied in this study.After the experiment,the students in experimental class were more interested in learning Electrician Basis: they took active part in class activities,they were willing to think hard and answer the questions raised by the teacher;more and more students finished their homework on time and they did very well.Those good leaning habits became their useful lifelong learning methods.Students became happy with this course.The relationship between teachers and students became harmonious.Moreover,in the aspect of teaching strategies of embodied cognition,the finding of this study were as follows: first,according to the characteristics of embodied cognition theory,reasonable allocation of time in the classroom was proposed;second,effective scoring system was made;third,the theory and practice integrated teaching mode was applied in situational teaching,strengthening exercises can also be used in the form;finally,external cultural environment was created,including classroom environment and home-school cooperation.
