The core of educational reform is curriculum reform. Since the 20th century, the United States has carried out three major curriculum reform, the main trend is more emphasis on curriculum integration, more concerned about the development of students. Chinese scholars have proposed that with the development of post-modern science, science education will be the integration of science and technology development, Chinese new round of basic education curriculum reform has also been the integration of curriculum as a concept of education to pursue. The integration of STEM curriculum in the United States has become a systematic understanding of the integration of the United States STEM curriculum for Chinese science and technology curriculum content optimization and integration to provide reference. To this end, select the Washington state system to introduce its STEM curriculum system to understand the way it integrates.This paper is divided into three parts. Firstly, it analyzes the STEM curriculum system in Washington State and reveals the way of integrating STEM curriculum from the target elements,content elements and process elements of its curriculum system. Afterwards, we draw on Dewey’s the aesthetic dimension of the STEM curriculum system is summarized in the six dimensions of the aesthetic (the connection, the risk of Imagination, the sensory experience, the Perceptivity, the active engagement), and the summary of the STEM curriculum The Advantages and Weakness of the System’s Aesthetic Features.Finally, after the final use of Dewey’s six dimensions to analyze the Washington State STEM curriculum system, we propose the following three points:First, the strongest aesthetic features are connected, active participation and take risks; second, the weakest aesthetic The characteristic is imagination; third, the middle of the aesthetic characteristics of sensory experience and insight.These aesthetic features may provide a new idea for the curriculum reform of science education in primary and secondary schools in China, which may make Chinese teachers and students more advantage in teaching-oriented learning environment, making STEM courses in our country Communication and development to form a vibrant curriculum experience to help teachers beyond the utilitarian course thinking, so as to accurately grasp the essence of STEM courses. To this end,we summarize the Washington State STEM curriculum system and its aesthetic perspective analysis of China’s science and engineering integration and development of STEM education two inspiration:1. curriculum design and implementation should maintain an open mind, and give students the opportunity to fully express 2. Actively enhance the interactive experience of individual and environment in curriculum teaching, provide aesthetics guidance for teachers to cultivate students’innovative consciousness and active thinking ability and create educational instruction, so that our course learning process becomes a beautiful experience process.
