For more than a century,mathematics has a wide application.However,due to its specific characteristics,mathematics classes are usually partial to rationality and have an increasing requirement on thought of students in later study periods.Therefore,mathematics activity course is an extension and application of this curricular.Mathematics activity course is beneficial to improve mathematical ability and comprehensive quality of students,thus one of reform contents in the Curriculum Program at the stage of compulsory education issued by the State Education Commission is to involve activity course into curriculum provision [1].Former mathematics courses were usually limited to classrooms and they were scattered,partial and lacked of a systematic and overall study on activity courses,thus the construction of activity courses lacked of a certain practice basis.Therefore,the essay tried to analyze the effect of activity courses on mathematics study of students from the perspective of curriculum,study elements which would support its development,investigate influence of experiences of students from activity study on application level of follow-up study,and put forward corresponding suggestions.First,the essay decided to make a series of activity curriculums by taking the unit Angle in the grade four textbook from the perspective of curriculum as an example,analyzed differences and intentions of arrangement of geometry in textbooks at home and abroad by adopting the qualitative research method,determined the relations between this unit with before and follow-up contents,and decided activity modes.Then,the essay had a comparative study on teaching of traditional courses and activity courses by selecting 36 students from two grade four classes as study samples,and came a conclusion: no mater horizontal comparison(class with class)or vertical comparison(development tendency of classes and development tendency of students),activity curriculum had a greater influence on students.1.Experiences of students from activity courses would provide more advantages to follow-up understanding of theoretical knowledge and reapplication of mathematics;and 2.Learning efficiency of students was higher than that of traditional teaching.Thus,timely teaching intervention is necessary.In the process of activity,teachers should provide proper teaching materials to guide students to have a better development in activity courses.Without proper teaching intervention,activity courses cannot generate systematic experience and would even create irretrievable drawbacks for later accumulation and application of experience.After analyzing the test results,we can find that 50% students after activity courses will reach to a higher level in expansion of knowledge,far surpassing students receiving traditional teaching,40% students could basically grasp conceptual understanding and mathematics application,holding the line with students receiving traditional teaching,and 10% students did not do well in conceptual understanding,holding the line with students receiving traditional teaching.Based on the above research results,we can draw a conclusion that activity courses have a great influence on follow-up accumulation and study of mathematics experience.The essay proposed to have an activity course in course learning to lay a foundation for activity experience and to apply activity experience from the activity courses in later study of mathematics theory,which is the teaching mode of ?activity – new lesson – activity – new lesson?.The teaching mode involved in this essay is only suited to parts of teaching contents,and problems like how to further explore experience of activity courses and how to use the mode of ?activity – new lesson – activity – new lesson? need further reflection and study.The writer hopes relevant studies could provide a direction and a basis for basic education.
