American social studies is the core of the history of the primary and secondary school of humanities literacy courses.The national curriculum standard clearly states that the social studies curriculum should include the experience of providing global linkages and interdependencies.In this paper,by the articles of Authority magazine Social Education take as an example.Based on the analysis of the article,it is necessary to analyze the theme of global education in American social studies.The magazine is the Journal of the American Society for social science.At the same time,Social Education contains a series of ideas to coordinate the theory and practice of social studies.2010 officially released the new version of the national social studies curriculum standards clearly pointed out that the purpose of the social sciences is the ability to develop responsible citizens.From a global perspective and learning history will help broaden the horizons of students,enhance students' interest and initiative,cultivating students' ability of judging history,improve their ability to analyze and solve problems and to promote the ability to explore historical and social realities.It plays an important role in the development of a citizen with rational thinking and decision-making ability and a sense of social and historical responsibility.Combing the articles of Social Education in recent years,the author sums up the three directions of the theme of global contact in the civic education in American Social Education: First,international relations;second,cultural integration;the third,hot issues.And each aspect with 1-2 examples to explain.The experience of the United States Middle School Social Education in the context of global linkages is worthy of reference for the reform of history education in secondary schools in china.However,due to different national conditions,we should learn from these experiences critically.The most important thing is that we want to explore a suitable for China's national conditions can be used for the education of the contents of the global connection.
