Children sports school refers to a school where students with sports talent receive centralized training and academic instruction.Mathematical learning is one of the diff icult tasks for students studying in sports schools. In Rugao city, pupils in sports school are unwilling to study mathematics and have no confidence in learning it well.In these students' opinions, they will fall behind in junior school even though they learn mathematics very well in primary school. Thus,it is urgent to enhance high-grade students' self-efficacy in mathematics learning in primary sports school.Rugao Sports School gives a priority to athletic training,so the author takes three different track and field events with low self-efficacy as the study object.Case A is a long-distance runner. The causes for low self-efficacy in mathematics learning are listed as follows:great consumption of stamina,Case A feels tired and spiritless in maths class;parents' corporal punishment;inappropriate evaluation such as "well developed but simple-minded";predecessors often suffer from academic decline in junior school,so A thinks that it is impossible to study maths well.Case B is a short distance runner. The causes for low self-efficacy in mathematics learning are listed as follows:the learning atmosphere in maths class is very boring, students feel anxious for success;coaches don't place any emphasis on mathematics, since they believe that it is enough to learn PE well;parents' negative suggestion of "poor maths",so B makes no effort to make progress and unwilling to study maths.Case C is a thrower. The causes for low self-efficacy in mathematics learning are listed as follows:superstition;high suggestibility;easily to be affected by negative attitudes,so C doesn't want to learn.By reviewing the history of mathematics self-efficacy,by means of interview and observation, the author puts forward corresponding promotion strategies. As for Case A,it is necessary to give him some emotional guidance in learning maths, helping him seek for a good example and inviting some excellent athletes to give lectures in school. As for Case B,it is necessary to introduce sports life into maths class, guiding him to discover the laws of maths and then let him feel interested in learning maths;in this way, help him get rid of psychological hint"unable to learn maths well".As for Case C,it is necessary to introduce sports life into study, eliminating his superstition and encouraging him to be diligent and hardworking.Based on the reality of high-grade students in primary sports school, enlightened by case studies, the author puts forward some suggestions for enhancing high-grade students' self-efficacy in leaning mathematics. It is necessary for school to arouse the enthusiasm of sports and teaching, making efforts to transfer athletes' leaning effect of maths study;it is also necessary for teachers to help students seek for ecellent models, guiding students' to forget their one-sided expressions on models and letting them know the learning process of excellent athletes.By connecting, sports life with mathematics learning.students' interest in learning maths will be increased. Thanks to the combination with physical education, students will feel interested in learning mathematics;By cooperating with coaches, diversified incentives are needed for students' development;moreover.it is necessary for parents to convey their expectations on good results of PE and maths study. The cooperation between school and family is needed to increase high-grade students' self-efficacy in leaning mathematics.
