Objective: This study aims to analysis effects of the three-diffe rent-type bridge on the trunk muscles of male college students between 22 and 25 through measuring the change of Integral electromyography(i EMG)and Mean po wer frequency slope(MPFs).Methods: 25 volunteers are selected for two minutes continuous contraction in three different styles of bridge,such as prone bridge,si de bridge and supine bridge.s EMG(Noraxon Telemyo2400DTS08)was used to me asure the changes of i EMG and MPFs of trunk muscles,such as Rectus abdomi nis(Ect abdom),External oblique muscle(XT oblique),Rectus femoris(Ect Fem),Er ector spinae(Erc spinae),Gluteus maximus(Glu max)and Biceps femoris(Ice femo).Results: i EMG and MPFs of the trunk muscles were analyzed by one-way ANOV A,and p <0.05 was significant.The results of data using SPSS 16.0 are as follo ws : Comparison within the group :a)i EMG : The ordered mean value in prone b ridge: Ect abdom>XT oblique>Ect Fem>Erc spinae>Ice femo>Glu max).The mean value of Ect abdom's i EMG is the largest one,and the other muscles have diff erence with it except XT oblique and Ect Fem.The ordered mean value in side b ridge: XT oblique>Ect abdom>Erc spinae>Glu max>Ect Fem>Ice femo.The mean value of XT oblique's i EMG is the largest one,and all the other muscles have significant difference with it(p<0.05).The ordered mean value in supine bridge:Erc spinae>Glu max>Ice femo>XT oblique>Ect abdom>Ect Fem).The mean value of Erc spinae's i EMG is the largest one,and all the other muscles have significa nt difference with it(p<0.05).b)MPFs:The ordered mean value in prone bridge: E ct Fem>XT oblique>Erc spinae>Ect abdom>Glu max>Ice femo.The mean value o f Ect Fem's MPFs is the largest one,and the other muscles have significant diff erence with it except XT oblique,Erc spinae and Ect abdom(p>0.05).The ordered mean value in side bridge: Erc spinae>Glu max>Ect abdom>XT oblique>Ect Fe m>Ice femo.The mean value of Erc spinae's MPFs is the largest one,and all t he other muscles have significant difference with it except Glu max,Ect abdom,XT oblique and Ect Fem(p<0.05).The ordered mean value in supine bridge: Ice femo>Glu max>Ect Fem>Ect abdom>XT oblique>Erc spinae.The mean value of Ice femo's MPFs is the largest one,and all the other muscles have significant diffe rence with it except Glu max(p<0.05).2)Comparison between groups:a)i EMG: Ect abdom and XT oblique have the same order in mean value,it is prone bridge>side bridge>supine bridge.The mean value of prone bridge's i EMG is the largestone,and only side bridge has no significant difference with it.The ordered mean value in Ect Fem:prone bridge>side bridge>supine bridge.and there is significant difference among them(p<0.05).The ordered mean value in Erc spinae and Glu max:supine bridge>side bridge>prone bridge and there is significant difference amo ng them(p<0.05).The ordered mean value in Ice femo:supine bridge>side bridg e>prone bridge.The mean value of prone bridge's i EMG is the largest one,and th e two other groups have significant difference with it(P<0.05).b)MPFs:The orde red mean value in Ect abdom:supine bridge>side bridge>prone bridge.The mean v alue of supine bridge's MPFs is the largest one,and only side bridge has no sign ificant difference with it(P>0.05).The ordered mean value in Glu max and Ice f emo:supine bridge>side bridge>prone bridge,The mean value of supine bridge's M PFs is the largest one,and only side bridge has no significant difference with it(P>0.05).There is no significant difference among XT oblique,Ect Fem and Erc spinae through their values is different.Conclusion:1)Three groups all can active t he trunk muscles.2)For different types of bridge,prone bridge has the most effec t on Ect abdom and XT oblique.side bridge has the most effect on XT oblique.su pine bridge has the most effect on Erc spinae,Glu max and Ice femo.3)For diff erent trunk muscles :Ect abdom,XT oblique and Ect Fem have the most effect in prone bridge.so prone bridge is the best exercise among bridges aiming to active Ect abdom,XT oblique and Ect Fem.there is no difference between prone bridge and side bridge in XT oblique,so side bridge also is the best method to active XT oblique,Erc spinae,Glu max and Ice femo have the most effect in supine br idge,so supine bridge is the best method among bridges to active Erc spinae,G lu maxand Ice femo.
