Exercise lesson is one of the main types of mathematics teaching, which means recitation teaching is essential for the improvement of teaching ability. Exercise lesson is the most important part of mathematics teaching activities because the students are able to learn the theory (concept, theorem, formula) and understand them deeply in the exercise lesson, which plays an important role in the development of students' mathematical thinking and capacity.This project studies the current situation of the novice teachers, exercise lesson,in order to combing the existing problems. We hope to improve the effect of novice teachers, mathematics teaching and give them advice on professional development.The conclusions are as follows:(1) Attitude towards exercise lesson. Many novice teachers pay less attention to exercises lesson than new lesson and 40.82% novice teachers regard it as the lesson for commenting students' homework. 90% Novice teachers often summarize the questions and problem solving strategies in exercise lesson, but always ignore the evaluation function of exercise lesson.(2) Exercises teaching. Many novice teachers can't facilitate students 'further thinking and learning. The teaching design is more concerned about the results and ignore the development of students' ability. 75.51% novice teachers assign so much exercise that the students can't understand well in exercise lesson. 63.26% novice teachers can not set aside time for students to reflect in exercise lesson. Many novice teachers are short of effective communication with the students in exercise lesson, which lead to the stifling learning atmosphere , the low participation of students and the lack of interest.(3) Reflection on exercise lesson. Most novice teachers are short of reflection work after exercise lesson. Some novice teachers don't know how to teach mathematical thought and methods in exercise lesson. 80% novice teachers think that the effect of exercise lesson depends on whether their teaching tasks are completed but ignore the development of students'. Novice teachers assign too much homework after exercise lesson because of the misjudgment of students' mathematics learning situation.
