| Reading ability,as a basic skill,affects the development of people’s thinking.Reading is an important part of Chinese language learning.Some studies show that children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder have poor academic performance.A large number of domestic and foreign studies found that Chinese dyslexic children’s reading ability and poor phonological processing skills and orthographic awareness have different degrees of defects.There has been many research on the phonological processing of ADHD in western countries,but less researches in domestic.Does chinese children with ADHD have the same defects in phonological processing skills as children with dyslexia?And what are the differences among children with dyslexia and those with comorbid children,and normal children?How much impact do phonological processing skills and orthographic awareness on ADHD children’s reading ability?In order to solve the above problems,this paper designs two parts.The first study on phonological awareness,rapid naming,digital color rapid naming,verbal working memory,orthographic awareness was investigated in 1-3 grade ADHD children,normal children,RD and comorbid disorders in children’s phonological processing skills and orthographic awareness,children of ADHD and comorbid disorders were screened from a hospital in Xi’an,normal and RD children were screened from a primary school,to investigate whether there are differences among ADHD children and the others groups on phonological processing skills and orthographic awareness by analysis of variance;The second research using hierarchical regression analysis to investigate the effects of phonological awareness,rapid naming,digital color rapid naming,verbal working memory and orthographic awareness on the reading ability of children with ADHD,the size of each language cognitive variables reading fluency and reading comprehension ability of children with ADHD.The findings are as follows:The first research shows that ADHD children’s phonological processing skills and orthographic awareness have different degrees of backward,Chinese children with have phonological awareness deficits and color rapid naming deficits like RD,and there is no difference between ADHD and normal children on digit rapid naming and verbal working memory,whereas children with comorbid disorders have sever phonological processing skills deficits and orthographic awareness deficits.The second research results show that phonological processing skills and orthographic awareness is selective to predict ADHD,RD and comorbid children’s reading ability.Digital rapid naming is important linguistic variable to explain the scores of reading fluency of ADHD children,children with comorbid disorders and RD.In addition,orthographic and phonological awareness have an important impact on reading fluency scores of comorbid children;orthographic awareness and rapid naming are important factors affecting the comorbid children reading comprehension scores.The phonological awareness is an important factor affecting the performance of reading comprehension of RD. |
