The traditional exam-oriented education evaluation is one-sided,which is not conducive to students' all-round development and is contrary to the concept of quality education.In order to follow the laws of physical and mental development of students,strengthen the core concept of evaluation and learning,emphasize the characteristics of English disciplines and students' learning quality,and thus achieve diversification and objective and reasonable evaluation.In 2016,Shanghai issued the “Primary and Upper Intermediate English Discipline-based Curriculum.Standard Evaluation Guideline(Draft for Comment)emphasizes that curriculum standards are the basic basis,establish correct evaluation concepts,highlight the improvement of teaching evaluation,and allow evaluation to be integrated into everyday teaching.Based on the actual situation of the school and the characteristics of the students in the school,each school designed an evaluation program that meets the characteristics of the school.However,not every school can objectively and comprehensively design evaluation criteria that are consistent with the characteristics of the school and provide students with an objective and comprehensive assessment.Therefore,how each school conducts an objective and comprehensive evaluation of middle school and senior grades of English learning and formulates a scientific,reasonable and effective evaluation system has become a major problem faced by English teachers and school administrators in all schools.This article takes the X elementary school in Xuhui District of Shanghai as the case study,takes the school teachers,some students and parents as the subject of evaluation,adopts the literature method,interview method and questionnaire survey method,and after scientific proof,formulates the evaluation standard table;and selects the X primary school.Some students implement specific evaluations for samples,and analyze the three dimensions of learning interests,study habits,and academic achievements,analyze their strengths and weaknesses according to index scores,and propose corresponding suggestions;finally,the entire evaluation criteria Re-evaluate to test the effect of the evaluation.It is hoped that this study can provide some references and inspirations for the evaluation of English teaching in other schools.The results of this study indicate:1.The evaluation methods for English in elementary and middle schools should adopt scientific,reasonable,comprehensive and diversified evaluation methods,attach importance to the statistics and analysis of evaluation data,and strengthen the diagnosis,improvement and incentive function of evaluation.2.Through SPSS,we compare the learning interest,study habits and academic achievements,and come to the conclusion that only under the common effect of learning interest and learning habits will have a more significant impact on academic achievement.With the increase in grades,learning interest and learning habits have a greater impact on academic achievement.3.From the re-evaluation effect point of view,the design of the evaluation criteria is more reasonable,in line with the expected results.
