Problems And Countermeasures In Kindergarten Rating Study

Kindergarten Grade Assessment is using certain scientific and feasible methods to judge the value and rank the different levels of kindergartens' educational activities, educational processes and their results according to a certain educational target and concept. Through participating in kindergarten Grade Assessing process in person and also through the intensive interview with teachers, headmasters of kindergartens and directors of preschool education departments, I find that the assessment can promote the development of kindergartens in various ways, but problems still unavoidably exist in many aspects. The institution that responsible for the assessment pays more attention to evaluation and judgment, but less to supervision, piloting and promoting; time allowed for assessing is short while the content is various and the task is strenuous, and also the assignment is unreasonable; assessment commission members' backgrounds are not widely distributed, lack of experts in the commission and it's constitution is too simple; the assessing criteria is fixed and machine-made, so that creative activities will be easily neglected; the assessment system is not perfect, so the aim of the kindergartens being assessed are uncertain, to get more economical benefit by getting a high grade through assessment is probably their main purpose; the process of being assessed cost kindergartens a lot of manpower, material resources and money; kindergartens abandon the criteria they should have for the wrong purpose.In this paper, I put forward some countermeasures against the above problems, that is to set up an independent kindergarten grade assessment system, use scientific methods of assessment to assess step by step, set up a reasonable target to make sure the purpose of the assessment is mainly for the development of preschool children, use modern office facilities, report process of running the school through the net.
