Internet leaves profound influence on the all-inclusive social life and divides the traditional communication mode from the modern one in media field. Individuals scattered around the world are extensively connected with each other through networks. Internet brings social ties in a much closer, broader and profound way with its unique technical features. Mass transmission is changing from one-direction communication to two-way communication and three-dimensional interactive communication and interpersonal communication and group communication has surpassed physical and social limitations by means of networks to form a new transmission system with diverse channels and abundant modes.In a new transmission system, individual transforms from passive receivers to active creators and transmitters of content and their psychological needs have been unleashed. The roles and positions of individuals have changed in the communication system, which leads to transformations of roles and positions in social life. Individuals voluntarily form a group in the network space based on shared interests and benefits. This loose network group has a far-reaching impact on self-identity cognition, appeals expression and participation in social cooperation.The thesis is divided into the following chapters:ChapterⅠ is introduction. It states the background and significance of studying characteristics of network group aggregation, combs related overseas and domestic research literature and provides a brief review, and explains the method adopted in the thesis and its innovative features.Chapter Ⅱ defines virtual environment, network group and network group aggregation. Network group is gathered by individuals that are independently utilizing the network. Network group consists of:reproduction of friends in network based on interpersonal relationships in the real life; a group voluntarily formed by netizens dependent on personal interests and benefits.Chapter Ⅲ analyzes network group aggregation characteristics from the perspectives of group interaction characteristics, group relationship characteristics and group organization characteristics in combination with questionnaire results and personal interview cases. The network group is linked by public topics and exchange ideas through texts and images to form a loose and weak connection based on shared interests and benefits. The network group has a flattening rectangle structure and the inside of the group is distinguished by diversification.Chapter Ⅳ analyzes reasons for network group aggregation and the analysis is unfolded from network technique factor, individual netizen factor, social environment and network culture. Network technique is a vital driven force for the formation of network group aggregation and its technical features influence the process of group aggregation.Chapter Ⅴ discusses the influence of network group aggregation on real life from individual level, group level to social level and each level is elaborated in terms of its positive and negative influences.Network technology is an important medium for modern communication and deeply influences the real life world by its openness, interaction, virtuality and digitization. On-line network space is highly merged with the off-line real space and the boundary between virtual and real worlds is diminishing. The communication among people is on longer constrained by time and space. The whole world is developing into an interrelated and inseparable entirety under the influence of network techniques. Network group forms a loose and weakening group influenced by network techniques, social environment, and individual netizen factor and network culture. Besides, it also has a subtle influence on individuals and groups in real life. Therefore, we should embrace the positive impact it brings and eliminates its negative impact.
