With the improvement of millimeter wave devices and antenna technology etc,the millimeter wave radars have had quite big development in recent years.Along with the rapid economic development of China, more and more radars applied in civil fields are demanded, among of them,24GHz frequency modulated continuous wave(FMCW)radar has been widely used in the field of automotive anti-collision,adaptive cruise control, traffic regulation. Many researches have been carried out in this field. This thesis is focused on analyses of signal processing of 24GHz continuous wave radar radar system. The main researches are focused on the research of algorithm and implementation of the hardware platform,as listed in follows:Firstly, the research of algorithm of 24GHz FMCW radar is carried out.The beat signal is modeled by mathematical method and the time domain and frequency domain characteristics are analyzed in detail, which is the mathematical basis for target detection.Furthermore, the flow of a single target detection such as FIR filter, windowed FFT,CFAR processing and accumulation is given, and a method of frequency measurement to improve the precision is presented. Finally, the design of different waveforms in multi-target detection is studied, aiming at solving the problem of multi-target matching, and an improved waveform is proposed, which is proved by the simulation results.Secondly, the hardware platform setup based on TMS320C6748 is constructed,TMS320C6748 is used as the core board to build the hardware platform, which controls the D/A and A/D converter to output the needed triangle wave signal and complete sampling. Finally, the actual test results are given to verify the validity and feasibility of the algorithm.
