| Be familiar with the foreign commercial environment and rules constitutes the prior preparation to develop overseas markets.Real Estate development Project Funding Application Of AGUIPRO SA is the material of this report.The translation of this document will allow Chinese developers to become familiar with African trade environment and rules(mainly the issues related to the real estate development project funding application in Africa),and also to meet the demand of customers for the translation market.The main part of the thesis is divided into six parts,including the introduction,four chapters and the conclusion:Firstly,the introduction presents the general situation of the translation project.In the first chapter,we endeavor to present a detailed translation process of the entire project.In the second chapter,we introduce the two strategies used in the translation process:domestication and foreignization,and the four elements that would influence the use of these two translation strategies:intention of the author,translation motives,type of the text and demand of the readers.Finally,it leads to a conclusion that in the process of translation of the text of real estate development project funding application,the domestication strategy is more positively appreciated in the translation of informative text,accompanied at the same time by the foreignization strategy if it is necessary.Based on the analysis of the four restrictive factors in the second chapter,in the third chapter,we reach three of the translation guidelines for the text of real estate development project funding application:precision,simplicity,and consistency.In order to achieve the goal of receiving the approval of the authorities concerned,the real estate development project funding application should be defined and precise.From this point of view,in the forth chapter,the work is focused on detailed analysis of the abbreviations,words,parts of speech(especially synonyms),long sentences,voice and general feature of the original text,which starts with the detail and eventually ends up with the entire text.We also present in this chapter the three auxiliary tools used during the translation:machine translation,dictionary-type tools,and online research.Finally,we analyze in the conclusion the dual identity of the translator:reader and author,and give a rational reflection on the responsibility of the translators. |
