Bidding as a widely used way of transaction, was applied to various transactions of goods, engineering and services. The advantage of bidding is it can save costs for the tenderees the most, while picking up the best supplier, so it became the preferred method of transaction in this era of fierce market competition. CNPC of Dagang oilfield as a large state-owned enterprise, spend huge fund on equipment purchase, development of infrastructures, hiring technological services annually, bidding is no doubt the best way of lowering costs and risks, select better qualified supplier. Although we are trying to consummate the institution of bidding and bidding management, we still have some problems which have become obstacles that getting ahead of further developments.This thesis aims to analyze the current situation of bidding in and outside the country, help improve the standards in bidding of CNPC of Dagang Oilfield through searching, collecting and analyzing. It also contains investigation method, which is thorough investigation on tendering apartment, material department, bidding agencies and tenderers, try to find problems in bidding process. Additionally, this thesis uses FASPUM method to detect potential risks in bidding, in an attempt to analyze the source of risks, solve it from its root. Through these methods, we discovered some problems in the bidding process of CNPC of Dagang Oilfield, over price-driven, leaks in bidding file approvals, insufficient pre-task preparation, wrecked bidding instructions, lack of administration, failing to cover all commonly used materials, lack of application in e-bidding. This thesis aimed at analyzing every problem and giving advice for improvements. In the end, it focuses on designing and utilizing of e-bidding.
