Changing market environment brings many challenges to the enterprise management,timely and effectively judge the operating risk and the market direction is always a topic,which has been continuously explore in the enterprise management."Data" is becoming more and more obvious in enterprise management,along with data governance and big data coming.Therefore,the data is promoted as a strategic asset,pay more attention to the management and explore the value,which is an important means of many enterprises in order to secure business at present.We are living in an era of information explosion,according to an authoritative survey in 2012 predicted that by 2020,humans have the amount of data is expected to reach 40 ZB,the number of global server will increase 10 times,the amount of data of enterprises management directly will increase 14 times.In the face of big data,the core value is actually not the big number of data,but with the enterprise management related to the core data of high quality.At present,for the domestic enterprises,data resource often exists in a number of heterogeneous and homogeneous system,the lack of data integrity,lack of consistency,many duplicate data and data standard not unified phenomenon is widespread.To solve these problems,best practice in the industry is undoubtedly to start the master data management,that is,to identify the core data,establishing standard unified enterprise data standards,set up the whole life cycle management of data governance system,master data management for the enterprise operation of data mining and analysis provide a solid foundation.Therefore,now more and more enterprises realize that,in order to reduce operational risks,improve enterprise efficiency,reduce the cost on IT environment,and overhead expenses,master data management has become the only way which must be passed of enterprise development.Midea Group is a large-scale comprehensive enterprise group mainly household appliances manufacturing,has always been adhering to the "the only constant is change" business philosophy.In 2013,Midea Group income 121 billion,belonging to the parent company profits growth of 60%year-on-year,delivering the transformation and upgrading of traditional industry has achieved initial success behind the rapid growth,it was also the same year,Midea Group formally launched the master data management consulting project.The thesis firstly points out the background,purpose and significance,as well as the ideas and structure of the thesis.Secondly,the necessary explanation to the theoretical background of master data,contains the basic concepts and master data fields of study in the business application.Then this thesis starts from the Midea Group,summarized the current situation of enterprise using the survey analysis,extended Chinese enterprise widespread at the root of the problem in data governance.And then through the experience summed up the method,drawing on best practice within the industry,analysing and giving the experience sharing to master data management of Midea Group,on the overall strategy,implementation methodology,organizational model and application.Finally,summarize the core strategies need to grasp the standard and principle,in order to draw on the experience and production of Midea Group master data management in the maximum extent.
