Research On Operation Of Zekou Irrigation Farmer Water Users' Association

Irrigation work is very important for the development of our country and society. To keep fast economic growth, social security and harmony and construction of comprehensive well-off society, we need give energetic support to develop irrigation work and strengthen water conservancy support ability.Farmer water users association, a novel emerging rural organization, has developed for a short time. So, Study on irrigation water users association and its operation will improve irrigation water resources utilization, ease farmers' water shortages, promote the sustainable development of water resources projects.In this paper, we applied related theory, such as autonomous management and the logic of collective action, and the way of field survey and questionnaire to fully understand current situation of farmer water users association in Zekou irrigation.Finding out the problems existing in irrigation water users association,and there is some suggestion:(1)Strengthen the propaganda, arise awareness of farmers;(2)using kinds of ways to solve the problem of funding;(3)association have accurate aim, develop the standard;(4)Strengthening the government management, increase the intensity of support;At last, we made deeper analysis aiming at the above issues and put forward corresponding improvement, to expect making great contribution to better service for farmers and the development of new socialist countryside, by playing a positive role of farmer water users association.
