Application Research Of Value Engineering On Offshore Container Factory Of Singamas Company

The Value Engineering(VE), due to their innovative thinking in solving and analysis the problems, has been widely used in various fields of the national economy, especially in the general machinery manufacturing industry and special equipment manufacturing industry, however, there is not relevant report about the application of VE in offshore containers manufacturing industry. Considering that the offshore containers manufacturing industry has been an important part of national economy, the VE theory is applied in the design of Containers with combing the production features of Containers, to achieve lower costs, improve the overall value and competitiveness of the products.In this paper, first, we give some brief introduction about Offshore Container factory, and elaborate the necessity of applying Value Engineering. And various types of containers produced in Offshore Container factory are analyzed, and finally chose the house-container as the object of value innovation, and the demand analysis of house-containers are also given in the following. Then, based on the function definition and functional arrangement of house-containers of Offshore Container factory, the function analysis system technology is used to evaluate and analyze the function of the house-container, on the basis of this, the necessary function, non-essential function, insufficient function and surplus function of the house-container are analyzed, and the function coefficient of each component of the house-containers are obtained. Besides, through the functional analysis and evaluation of the house-containers of Offshore Container factory, and based on the principle of VE, the cost coefficient, coefficient value, target cost are calculated. Finally, the optimization object are determined and the optimization programs are given, and the evaluation of the optimization programs is also give in the following. Conclusions are also given in the following.
