Cleaner Production Audit For Electroplating Industry: A Case Study

Electroplating industry has been due to its characteristics of heavy pollution,high energy consumption and high difficulty of governance.As a sustainable development strategy,cleaner production is a important way to prevent electroplating industry pollution.In this paper,based the cleaner production audit of the electroplating enterprise in Zhejiang Province,the cleaner production evaluation index was used to evaluate,the technical process,resource utilization and pollutant emission in an attempt.the clean production level of the enterprise is grade III.To solve the existing problems,23 of cleaner production plans,including 18 of non/low cost,5 of medium/high cost were put forward,with a total investment of 2.469 million yuan.After the implementation of cleaner production assessment,the factory could save 18800 tons/a of wate,13700 degrees/a of electricity,25.5 tons/a of coal,and 0.294 million yuan per year,exhibiting obvious and considerable economic benefits.In concusion,the implementation of cleaner production is helpful to improve resources recycling,reduce energy consumption,and increase the profits of the enterprise.This work provides a reference for the application of cleaner production evaluation index system in electroplating industry.
