A Case Study On Cleaner Production For Paper Industry

Paper industry which is the basic raw material industry is closely related to the national economy and social undertaking development. It faces the high water consumption, excessive emissions, technical process backward, poor economic benefit and other issues, and these problems have seriously restricted the sustainable development in paper industry. As a whole process strategy of the pollution prevention, cleaner production has been recognized as the technical means and implementation tool to achieve sustainable development. With the purposes of saving energy, reducing consumption, producing less pollution and improving benefit, along with the implementation means of technology and management, cleaner production is one of the ways to realize the sustainable development in paper industry.This thesis was focused on cleaner production audit, with construction of paper industry cleaner production audit mode and cleaner production schemes. Firstly, the present and long industrial production was analyzed with pollution prevention. According to the process characteristics and cleaner production standard, the cleaner production assessment index system is constructed and the clean production value by fuzzy synthesis evaluation is calculated. Then the cleaner production grades were obtained. Secondly, the grades were used to determine the major cleaner production audit. Based on the analysis of the problems discovered in the course and advanced cleaner production technologies at domestic and abroad, the cleaner production schemes were proposed, then implementing the technical, environmental and economic feasibility analysis to determine the feasible schemes as this time cleaner production schemes. Thirdly, in order to realize the long-term cleaner production, sustained clean production plan should be implemented to achieve sustainable development in paper industry. At last, the cleaner production programs suitable for paper industey were proposed.The practical application shows that the cleaner production audit mode presented in this paper is reasonable. Combined with the cleaner production audit we know that the cleaning raw materials, advanced equipment and technology, efficient use of resources and energy, waste recycling etc are the key factors at affecting cleaner production of paper industry. Meantime, the enterprise management at a certain extent also affects the level of cleaner production in paper industry. These factors are the common problems of the paper industry and can be used for constructing the cleaner production schemes. The results can provide theoretical guidance and practical application for the implementing cleaner production in paper industry.
