As the environment becomes increasingly dynamic, companies need to continually make strategic change to achieve dynamic matching with the environment.Research on this subject has focused on the impact of strategic change on organizational performance, but also some scholars gradually study the influence factors of strategic change. These studies pay more attention to the influence of individual and team factors on the strategic change, but less on organizational factors.Since the arrival of the wave of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial orientation has become a hot topic. The impact of entrepreneurial orientation on strategic change has gradually attracted the attention of scholars. At present, there are some studies on entrepreneurial orientation and strategic change, but there are still some differences in the research results. To accurately explain the impact mechanism must be combined with the actual situation of enterprises. The relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and strategic change may be affected by the inertia of organizational structure, and the impact of organizational structural inertia on entrepreneurial orientation and strategic change,is still necessary to be further explored.Firstly, this paper reviews and analyzes the literature on entrepreneurial orientation, structural inertia and strategic change, and puts forward research hypothesis and the theoretical model.Secondly, based on the existing researches, this paper designs the questionnaire of this study. The data comes from enterprises in Dalian,Shenyang,Changchun and other regions. Then, using SPSS19.0 software to analyze of the effective data, and then explore the impact of entrepreneurial orientation on strategic change. At the same time, this paper introduces the structural inertia to analyze the moderating effect of structural inertia between entrepreneurial orientation and strategic change. Finally, based on the data analysis, this paper summarizes the conclusion, and further puts forward some suggestions for the enterprise accordingly.Through the empirical analysis of 166 valid questionnaires, this paper draws some conclusions.First, the entrepreneurial orientation and strategic change is significantly positive correlated.Second, all dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation are significantly positively correlated with strategic change.Third, structural inertia has a significant negative regulatory effect on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and strategic change. The structural inertia has a significant negative moderating effect on the relationship between the advance and strategic change. While structural inertia has no significant effect on the relationship between innovation,risk-taking and strategic change. In the past, the study of entrepreneurial orientation and strategic change was based on the theoretical level, and the results of the study were still different. This paper, through the empirical study of Chinese enterprises, changes the previous thinking that only regarding the entrepreneurial orientation as a whole variable. This paper holds that entrepreneurial orientation has three dimensions, such as innovation,risk-taking and advance. This paper explores the impact of each dimension on strategic change, and explains more fully the path of entrepreneurial orientation to strategic change. In addition, introducing structural inertia as an important factor in the organization will help to further define the boundary conditions for the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and strategic change. The results show that the degree of entrepreneurial orientation can be adjusted to promote strategic change under different levels of structural inertia, which provides useful guidance for enterprises to maintain competitive advantage in a competitive environment. Finally, there are still some shortcomings in data collection, variable measurement and so on,which are expected to be improved in the future research.
