Research On The Relationship Between Ambidexterity Competency And Innovation Performance: The Moderating Effect Of Entrepreneurial Orientation

High tech enterprises are facing huge challenges, which makes the enterprises should pay attention to both the present development and future development. Exploration ability and Exploitation ability are important to organization develop--ment. However, if the enterprises pay much attention to exploitation ability,it may lead to fall into "success trap",and if the enterprises pay much attention to exploration ability,it may lead to fall into "failure trap". The research on balance dimension and complementary dimension of ambidexterity competency has become a hotspot in recent years. Some researches show that the balance between exploration and exploitation can improve the innovation performance. The interac--tion between exploration and exploitation can enhance each other and improve innovation performance. However, other research shows that exploration and exp-loitation are different activities, they will compete for the limited resources and it is difficult to coordinate.Ambidexterity competency has a bad influence on inno--vation performance.Resource acquisition is very important to the relationship between ambidexterity competency and innovation performance. However, there is lack of resource acquisition researches about the relationship between ambidex-terity competency and innovation performance. Resource acquisition is an impor--tant behavior of entrepreneurial orientation, which will affect the relationship of ambidexterity competency and innovation performance, but existing researches ignore this field. The relationship of ambidexterity competency,entrepreneurial orientation and innovation performance need to be further studied.Based on the review and analysis of ambidexterity competency, entre--preneurial orientation and innovation performance, this paper puts forward the modle and hypothesis. Then, according to the current mature form to design questionnaire and the data comes from the high-tech enterprises. This paper use SPSS 19.0 to analyse the effective data. Meanwhile, introducing the entrepreneurial orientation to explore whether it can moderate the relationship between ambidex--terity competency and innovation performance. Finally, this paper draws conclu- -sions and puts forward corresponding suggestions and measures for high tech enterprises.Through empirical research, this paper finds that:first, the balance dimension of ambidexterity competency has a significant positive influence on innovation performance. Second, the complementary dimension of ambidexterity competency has a significant positive influence on innovation performance. Third, this paper also explores the moderating effect of entrepreneurial orientation on ambidexterity competency and innovation performance, and the research shows that entrepreneu--rial orientation has a significant positive moderating effect between ambidexterity competency and innovation performance.There is a innovation of this article:there is lack of resource acquisition research about the relationship between ambidexterity competency and innovation performance.This paper introduce entrepreneurial orientation as a moderating variable to explore the relationship between ambidexterity competency and innovation performance. However, this study has the following shortcomings:we did not use the questionnaire survey of probability sampling, the research conclu--sion may not be universal. This study does not use the time series, the research conclusion can not reflect the relationship of all variables in different stages of enterprise development.
