After years of development, the desert tourism has gradually become a popular tourist product. Its characteristic, challenging and adventuresome, is also conforms to the personalized demand growing of the modern travelers and raises concern by the relevant scholars and practitioners. Because the desert tourism started late in China and its depth and breadth is insufficient, the development is still immature. It exists many problems, such as the pollution and destruction of the desert tourism resources and environmental, caused by excessive development, lack of the cultural connotation about tourism products, serious homogeneity of the scenic and so on. With the increasingly competition in the tourism market, how to use the scientific and rational development to improve the core competitiveness and to realize the sustainable development of economy, society and nature. It will be worth thinking about.In this article, Wuwei Desert Park is selected as the research object and the different methods are used such as makes literature-research, questionnaire survey and case study to make analysis of the present situation, problems, resources characteristic, tourists demand, the similar scenic spot and so on. Then, the suitable plan for the scenic development is designed. The main content is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is introduction, related the selected topic background, research significance, research methods, etc.; the second chapter is the theoretical basis, introducing the related theory of desert tourism development and the research at home and abroad; the third chapter is the analysis of the present situation, problems and other factors on the tourism development; the fourth chapter is the development plan; the fifth chapter is the corresponding measures for the development plan; the last chapter is the conclusion of this article.
