The Organizational Model Of Scientific Research Of Citizen Science

Science was originated from exploring activities of amateurs.As science has become a social institution,scientists have developed into an independent profession.When it comes to the twentieth century,the scientific research in all the fields have been made by professional scientists.Especially after the Second World War,the appearing of "Big Science" has almost led to the disappearing of all the amateur scientific researches.However,over the past twenty years,a new kind of scientific research which has a large number of public participants in the fields of astronomy,environmental science,biology and others,has developed into a new wave,and we call it citizen science.At present,both the academia and the folk have little knowledge of citizen science.In order to better introduce this concept,this paper firstly combs the research background in the first chapter.In the second chapter I make a brief introduction of the development history of scientific research organization pattern,make a definition of citizen science,and analyze the process and reason of the raise of citizen science.In order to introducing citizen science in detail and analyze the general operational mechanism of citizen science,this paper selects two citizen science projects brief introduction and analysis of the typical case in the third chapter from design planning,publicity and promotion,personnel recruitment to the specific operation,scientific research achievements and matters need attention.The fourth chapter continues discussing about the operation mode of the citizen science projects,and making an explanation on the supporting conditions of citizen science project operation,such as scientific research resources,capital elements,human resources,technical support,etc..The influences and contributions of citizen science are also be emphasized.On the one hand,the fifth chapter summarizes the advantages,applicability of the citizen science projects and analyzes the challenges and opportunities.On the other hand,this chapter analyzes the problems of our country's citizen science and proposes some suggestions with the time background and the condition of a country.
