A Company's Logistics Business Process Optimization From Auto Parts Imports Perspective

In recent years,with the rapid growth of auto parts imports volume in China,the need for auto parts imports logistics is increasing accordingly.Auto parts imports logistics involves various logistics business such as transportation,warehousing,customs declaration etc.which cross different regions,due to its complication,it is usually outsourced to professional third party logistics service provider.A company is a large domestic logistics service provider,it takes charge of the auto parts imports logistics operation of auto manufacture C company.The auto parts arrival rate of A company keeps 96%,guaranteeing the smoothing manufacture process in C company.However,refer to A company's operation,the existing problems include low efficiency in information transmission and irrational business process structure,causing the long operation cycle and low customer satisfaction.The purpose of this paper is to reduce A company's operation cycle through business process optimization.This paper first analyzes A company's current auto parts imports logistics process,to find the existing problems and the necessity for business process optimization.Based on this foundation,this paper then formulates A company's business process Petri net,analyzes the relationship between different activities using related methods,distinguishes the potential businesses which can be optimized and optimizes A company's business process from operational and administrative level.In effect analysis stage,this paper introduces stochastic Petri net,formulates its isomorphic Markov Chain,calculates the Petri net performance based on Markov Chain stability probability,obtains the average operation cycle of A company before and after optimization and compares them afterwards.Research results have shown that the operation cycle of A company's auto parts imports logistics have reduced 20%through optimization.
