Research On The Countermeasures For The Development Of Border Trade Between China And Vietnam

Border trade is a unique form of trade between neighboring countries,occupying an important position in the country’s foreign trade activities.China border line length of 22,800 km,in the long border line with Vietnam,Russia,North Korea,Mongolia,India and other 15 countries border.The long border and numerous land-based neighbors have determined that border trade will be an important economic form in China’s foreign economy.China and Vietnam border trade has played a very important role in China’s prosperous border trade.Since the Sino-Vietnamese diplomatic relations in November 1991,with the joint efforts of the two governments and the business community,Sino-Vietnamese border trade has developed rapidly and has played a huge role in promoting the economic,social and cultural aspects of the border areas of the two countries.Promote the role according to the statistics of the Ministry of Commerce,the total trade volume between China and Vietnam in 2016 was US $ 98.7 billion,including border trade volume of US $ 25.2 billion,accounting for 1/4 of the total trade volume between the two countries.China has become Vietnam’s largest trading partner for 12 consecutive years,and Vietnam also surpassed Malaysia as China’s largest trading partner in ASEAN.However,with the increasing economic and trade exchanges between China and Vietnam,China-Vietnam border trade scale is expanding,such as border trade management policy is not standardized and coherent,border trade in a single form,bilateral trade imbalance,illegal trade rampant and other issues also appeared.So what are the reasons for these problems?How should the two governments and their respective trade subjects solve these problems?Therefore,according to the current situation of border trade between China and Vietnam,the author analyzes the existing problems and their causes and puts forward some countermeasures.It is of great significance to promote the sustainable development of Sino-Vietnamese border trade and promote the economic and trade prosperity of China and Vietnam,and even the development of bilateral trade between China and ASEAN has a very important practical significance.Based on the theory of comparative advantage,the theory of resource endowment and the theory of regional dependency,this paper reviews the current situation of border trade between China and Vietnam by means of literature research,and analyzes the present situation of Sino-Vietnamese border trade by normative analysis and statistical analysis It is pointed out that the main cause of the above problems is that the bilateral relations are not stable enough,the border trade management policy is not coherent and standardized,the infrastructure in the border areas is not perfect and the border trade settlement mechanism is not perfect.On the basis of this,the author puts forward some suggestions on how to promote the development of Sino-Vietnamese border trade:establish stable bilateral relations and promote the normal development of border trade;perfect the border trade policies and regulations to promote the sustainable development of border trade;improve infrastructure construction and enhance border trade investment environment;Border trade management,to improve customs clearance speed and efficiency;to improve the border trade settlement,standardize border trade order;to carry out a variety of forms of trade,to achieve border trade diversification;to strengthen product quality and promote and enhance the competitiveness of border trade enterprises.This paper summarizes the sino-vietnamese border trade research status and the related theory both at home and abroad,and on this basis of the related theory,the characteristics and problems in the development of china-vietnam border trade and the causes are analyzed.Finally puts forward some counter measures to conform to the sino-vietnamese border trade development based on the actual situation,such as more open foreign cooperation policy,diversified way of trade,to strengthen the construction of infrastructure and optimize the management of foreign trade,etc.In order to build a relatively complete border trade system which accords with the actual situation of development of border trade between the two countries.This paper mainly includes the following sixth aspects:The first part puts forward the background and significance of Sino-Vietnamese border trade research,summarizes the relevant research literature at home and abroad,and puts forward the research contents,research methods and technical route.The second part of the definition of related concepts and basic theory.Border trade related to economics and management and many other disciplines,this chapter describes the border trade-related trade,small trade,and focuses on border trade-related comparative advantage theory,geographical dependence theory.This paper studies as much as possible the comprehensive application of the current popular theory to avoid the limitations of this study in the research process.This chapter analyzes the theoretical research of border trade both at home and abroad so as to provide theoretical reference for the formulation of border trade problems.The third part of Sino-Vietnamese border trade characteristics,status quo,economic impact analysis.On the basis of the theoretical analysis of border trade,this paper systematically analyzes the characteristics,current situation and economic factors of Sino-Vietnamese border trade.The fourth part of the Sino-Vietnamese border trade problems and causes.On the basis of the current situation and theoretical research on Sino-Vietnamese border trade,this chapter lists some problems in the development of border trade between China and Vietnam,and analyzes the reasons for its existence in order to formulate the development strategy of Sino-Vietnamese border trade.The fifth part is about the border trade countermeasures and Suggestions.The sixth part is about conclusion.This study involved a summary on the research contents,methods,limitations,etc.It is hoped that through the above research,this paper puts forward the development strategy of Sino-Vietnamese border trade and constructs a relatively complete border trade system which conforms to the actual situation of border trade between the two countries and can provide some reference for the establishment of border trade system in other neighboring countries.
