Sino-vietnamese Border Trade Development Studies

Border trade is important to country's economic and trade activities.The border trade is beneficial to governments,enterprises,residents between the two border countries as well as the surroundings and the world.China has the character of vast territory,long border line,large number of neighboring countries and has a unique advantage in developing border trade.In recent years,neighboring countries develop quickly in the border trade and catch people's attention.Especially in Guangxi,rapid economic growth and trade structure of high degree complementary.The continuous development of China and ASEAN relations make China's border provinces come to the fore in the development of border trade.This article treat the border trade in Guangxi and Vietnam as the research object.Firstly,we comb the basic concepts and theories of border trade,then have a slightly inspection of current situation of the world and China's frontier trade.This paper mainly adopts the methods of comparative analysis and inductive analysis,on the basis of this,we investigate the present situation of the development of border trade in Guangxi and Vietnam from the two categories of trade scale and trade structure.Specificially,the trade scale is divided into import and export scale,the trade structure is divided into commodity structure,market subject structure and mode of settlement structure.The study has been found that the border trade between Guangxi and Vietnam has made great progress in terms of trade scale,trade pattern,there are three problems as follows: the small overall trade scale,the irrational structure of import and export commodities,and the unsmoothly way of settlement.We point out the following five reasons: backward infrastructure,slow commodity structure adjustment,RMB failed to completely regional,unsound border trade policy and preferential weakening,the unstable political relationship between China and Vietnam.According to these problems and reasons,this paper put forward several suggestions,including increase infrastructure and logistics system building efforts,speed up the optimization of the structure of bilateral trade,improve border trade,the settlement service system,strengthen trust and coordination,work together to promote China's Guangxi and Vietnam border trade.
