| It has been widely recognized and proved that finance plays an important role in promoting the economy around the world.China’s financial structure is bank-oriented system, commercial banks play an irreplaceable role in China’s financial system. As an important part of social capital allocation, the relationship between the bank credit and the national economy is indispensable.China is now in a critical period of economic transition, compared with increasing bank credit to fuel the economic growth, adjusting credit flow to fasten the economic transition is more important. The credit assets of China’s large-sized stated-owned national-operating commercial banks account for more than half of the credit assets of all banking financial institutions, the scale and the scope of their credit business are both in an absolutely dominant position. In addition,state-owned capital holding property background brings more significant social responsibility and more extensive social influence. Therefore, compared to other commercial banks, the credit flow of the large-sized stated-owned national-operating commercial banks will have a more significant impact on social economy. Most of the former literature on commercial bank credit flow chose all commercial banks or all listed commercial banks as the research object and analyzed the situation from a single view such as industry, region or ownership. This paper selects China’s five large-sized stated-owned national-operating commercial banks as the research object and analyzes the current situation of credit flow from three aspects including industry, region and client. Thus the conclusion is more targeted and more comprehensive.Through the analysis of the relevant data from the annual reports of these banks, the author finds that the credit of China’s large-sized stated-owned national-operating commercial banks is mainly flowing to the pillar industries and the basic industries and rarely flowing to the strategic emerging industry in the aspect of industry. In the aspect of region, the credit flowing to the economically developed eastern areas is the most, but the credit flowing to the western areas grows in the fastest speed. In the aspect of client, the flow of personal credit is increasing year by year, and the kind of personal loans products is becoming more abundant.Next, the author discusses both economic and social impacts of the credit flow of China’s large-sized stated-owned national-operating commercial banks from micro and medium angles. The micro angle includes the impact on the bank’s own profit and risk level, the impact on the capital consumers and the impact on the micro efficiency of the credit funds allocation. The micro angle includes the impact on industrial structure adjustment, the impact on regional economic development and the impact on the medium efficiency of the credit funds allocation. At the end of the article, considering the present situation of the credit flow of China’s large-sized stated-owned national-operating commercial banks, the author put forward to reduce the concentration of loans,to adjust the credit flow among industries and regions based on the industrial policy and regional development policy and to provide more high-quality credit services for small and medium-sized private enterprises by promoting innovation etc.The purpose of all the suggestions is to make full use of the positive effects of the reasonable credit flow. |
