With China’s international influence and competitiveness increasing and strategies like "going out","the Belt and Road" being put forward,China’s international engineering project business has developed rapidly.In recent years,the economic development of countries in Africa is very rapid,and they have a great demand for infrastructure construction in energy,transportation,hydropower and so on.More and more Chinese enterprises choose to undertake projects in Africa.In 2016,the contract amount of Chinese companies contracted in Africa was close to $ 70 billion.With the deepening of cooperation between China and Africa,Africa has become China’s major foreign contract market.Due to the special political,economic,natural environment and complex history and culture of Africa,project in Africa may encounter more risks than other international projects during its implementation.Therefore,the effective risk management is particularly important in the China-Africa International Engineering Project.At present,China’s enterprises have gradually attached importance to the management and control of project risk,but most remain in the risk factor itself like the weight and probability or the evaluation of risk level.The study about relationship between risks or the risk transfer path is still very scarce.The risk conduction relationship can be an explanation for risk transmission and dissemination.It is an important basis for risk management.This paper studies the conduction relationship between risk factors of China-Africa international project.The main contents include the following three parts:The first part includes the chapter 1 and 2 of this article,mainly analyzing the present situation of China-Africa international project and its problems in practice and theoretical research.On this basis,the research problem of this paper is put forward,that is how to identify the risk of China-Africa international engineering projects and explore the conduction relationship between risk factors.In view of the above research questions,the existing related literature has been sorted out,which laid a theoretical foundation for the follow-up study.The second part includes chapter 3 and chapter 4.The main content is to identify risk factors of China-Africa international projects and build a risk conduction relationship model.First,based on the screening and summarization of previous literature,the risk factors of general international project are sorted out;Second,combined with the African environmental characteristics and project problems Chinese enterprises are faced with in Africa,the China-Africa international engineering project risk is re-identified through the Delphi;Third,based on the interpretation structural modeling method,analyze the conduction relationship and risk level between risk factors and ultimately build the risk conduction interpretation structure model.The third part includes chapter 5 and chapter 6 of this paper.The risk type is divided according to the risk conduction model and the corresponding risk management strategy is put forward with the consideration of specific situation and environment in Africa.Finally,the conclusion of the article is summarized and the shortcomings of the study and the subsequent study of thinking are put forwardThrough the study of the three parts,this paper discusses the conduction relationship between risk factors of China-Africa international engineering project,and proves that there are clear relationship and conduction paths between these risk factors.According to the risk model,risk management measures are put forward to make up defects for the existing risk analysis method witch only manages risk through risk weight or probability.This study can provide a new research idea for the risk management of international project,and provide reference and advice for project manager to evaluate,analyze and control the risk in these kinds of project.
