Tourism consumption structure,as one of the important indicators of the development of regional tourism,reflects the degree of realization of passenger consumption demand.Hong Kong,as an international metropolis,studying the trend of its tourism consumption structure will help to have a clear understanding of the development of Hong Kong tourism.This is also significant and useful.In this paper,through 1998-2015,I gathered a large amount of statistical data about the Hong Kong tourism consumption to identify changes in Hong Kong's tourism consumption structure,then finding the relationship between the data and the Hong Kong-related industry changes.In the part of theoretical research,this paper first introduces the research background and research significance,and then explains the technical content of the research and research methods.Then,the research discussed the literatures from related domestic and abroad fields,and evaluates the existing literatures.At last,some concepts used in the empirical study are explained in detail,and the related theories about tourism consumption structure are expounded.In the part of empirical study,this paper first divides Hong Kong's tourism consumption into three major markets by sorting out the statistical data of Hong Kong over the years,and then studies the tourism consumption structure and its evolution in the three major markets.Then,by using the multiple linear regression models and combining the information entropy of the tourism consumption structure in different regions and markets,the paper finds out the relationship between the information entropy and the proportion of the added value of different industries in Hong Kong tourism,and draws the following conclusions:1.The level of tourism consumption structure in Hong Kong is uneven2.Different tourist market tourism consumption structure are quite different3.The development of tourism consumption structure in Hong Kong has a weak impact on the proportion of tourism revenue generated by various sectors4.The information entropy of tourism consumption structure in Chinese mainland market is negatively correlated with the proportion of tourism revenue in Hong Kong retail tradeBased on the statistical data of each market and the conclusions drawn above,some suggestions on the development of Hong Kong tourism-related industries are proposed,which will help the related enterprises to develop their own competitiveness in the future.Finally,in view of the problems encountered in the process of this paper,the paper puts forward and summarizes the shortcomings of the paper and makes a research on the subject of the evolution of tourism consumption structure in Hong Kong.
