With the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization,the urban agglomeration is changed into a new unit of regional development.The coordinated development of the urban agglomeration has become an important part of the national strategy.The precise definition of the boundary of the urban agglomeration can more accurately plan and guide the development of the urban agglomeration,including the level of urbanization within the urban agglomeration and the division of labor among different cities.What's more,it also includes a series of work of the urban peripheral cities to enter the urban agglomeration.The rapid development of communication technology has led to a wide range of popularity of smart mobile phones,which will bring mankind into the era of big data,fundamentally changed people's habits and daily activities.Mobile phone applications become an integral part of the daily life of the residents,Sina micro-blog as one of the popular mobile phone applications,with a higher user base and a large number of user generated data.In the context of the information age,the study of the urban agglomeration boundary is still the most important in the research of urban agglomeration,but there is a new exploration of the research methods and data sources.In this paper,the current status of the research on the spatial range and boundary recognition of urban agglomeration is reviewed.The advantages and disadvantages of the existing research on the boundary detection of urban agglomeration are summarized.Based on this,we first construct a set of index evaluation system based on the statistical data and identify the boundary of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration,including 101 counties(districts).Then we build spatial-temporal big data using Sina micro-blog data and night light data.From a different point of view,we constructed a set of index evaluation system to identify the boundary of urban agglomeration,including city connection intensity,county activity intensity,county agglomeration intensity,county night lighting intensity.Our work explores the method of identifying the boundary of urban agglomeration based on spatial-temporal data,which includes 88 districts and counties in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cities.In this study,the weighted normalized value of index is defined as the value of county agglomeration.The greater the value of county agglomerations,the greater the possibility of being identified into urban agglomerations.Through the correlation analysis between the statistical data and the spatial-temporal data,the results show a significant correlation.It is proved that the method to identify the boundary of urban agglomeration based on spatial-temporal data is objective and feasible.By comparing the results of the two data sources,it is found that the results of the statistical yearbook and the traffic data are more likely to be economic factors and the higher the economic level,the more likely they are to enter the urban agglomeration.And the use of spatial-temporal data to identify the results more inclined to the distribution of the population,the more frequent residents of the region,the more likely to enter the urban agglomeration.
