Research On Sino-African Economic Zoon And The Effect On Trade

In the 21st century,the international situation is constantly changing,under the background of economic globalization,countries make various efforts to seek the international cooperation in order to achieve common development.Friendly partnership between Africa and China has lasted for a long time,which laid a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation in the economic field.Because of the initiation of the Forum of China-Africa Development,Africa and China could seek cooperation in a more creative way.Under this background,Sino-African economic zoons(SEZs)emerged.After a phase of nine-year development,SEZs have gained a lot and positive effects on trade can be seen in several ways.However,motivation,development situation and challenges are three main focus of researches on SEZs.Scholars both at home and abroad did not pay attention to the trade effect of SEZs,but this kind of effect does help us to understand SEZs’function and industry position.And based on the theoretical analysis,introduction of present situation,operation model,sources of funding and preferential policies of SEZs in the paper,the effects on trade could be better understood in nature,which is very important for next chapter.Therefore,after the establishment of a general model explaining the trade effect of economic zoon,the author demonstrates trade effects both in direct and indirect way.During the analysis,import substitution and increasing of export scale are classified as direct trade effect,enterprises,acquirement of tax revenue,decreasing local employment pressure,meeting satisfaction of native people brought by "Chinese made" products and promotion of systematic cooperation on both sides.To demonstrate the above trade effects in a more intuitive way,at the end of this paper,the author take Sino-African economic zoon established in Zambia for example.Although SEZs do not step into the mature stage,their trade effects have emerged,and it will develop better in the future.In conclusion,SEZs is a successful pattern for Sino-African economic cooperation.Last but not least,measures and suggestions are put forward trying to solve problems emerging in the development of SEZs.
