With the development of Internet,Internet consumer credit service arises.It sweeps across China and soon becomes the important part of Internet finance.According to Research on Problems faced with Internet Finance Under the New Circumstances,reported by Tencent Research Institute,in 2013,the market size of Internet consumer credit service was up to 6 billion RMB;it rose 160%to a record 15 billion RMB in 2014;it is predicted that in 2017,its size will be about 100 billion RMB and the growth rate in the following three years will be up to 94%.Installment and micro-credit are two types of Internet consumer credit which is really popular among most of Chinese.College students are a group of people with strong consumption desire and capabilities,who are always ready for new things.Owing to an open access to e-commerce and Internet installment platform,it never bothers college students anymore for they can get money as they need.It breaks the liquidity constraints to a degree and affects the consumption behaviors of college students.Based on the modern consumption theory,both qualitative description and quantitative analysis are employed to study the connections between Internet consumer credit and consumer behaviors of college students.Particularly,how the college students allocate the money they loan is studied.The paper is composed of 5 parts.The first chapter briefly introduces the background of Internet consumer credit and the approaches adopted.The second part presents the previous studies on consumer credit and Internet consumer credit.The third part is mainly about the modern consumption theory,consumption behaviors of college students and the effects of Internet consumer credit has on the college students.The forth part builds a model about Internet consumer credit.Factors that are about to affect the way how students spend their money is studied,which is electronic devices,fees on food and love and etc.The final part concludes the paper and gives the suggestions.It can be observed that with the Internet consumer credit,the consumption level of college students is largely improved.Based on the statistics collected by the questionnaire,the main usage of the money is for electronic devices,transportation and other daily issues,education fees,clothes and makeup and intimate relationships,etc.No obvious influence is observed on fees on food and entertainments.In this paper,suggestions are given on different levels,i.e.,the country itself,college students and Internet consumer credit to maintain a long-term development of Internet consumer credit services.
