The Cultivation And Financing Of Entrepreneurial Venture-a Comparative Study Of Entrepreneurialpractices In Switzerland And China

At different stages of economic development,the driver of economic growth is also different.Conventional economic improvement is mainly demand-driven,based on labors,production factors,and capital inputs.While the economy of China becomes “new normal”,the nation's economy turns to be driven by innovation.Knowledge and innovation have changed the way of economic growth in human history.Such economy was created by the entrepreneurs' creativity,embodied in new SMEs,and protected by policies and government mechanisms,and displayed in macro-economy.In this sense,innovation is the essence of new modern businesses.Accordingly,focusing on entrepreneurial theories,financing tools and business education so as to explore possible existing problems in practice becomes important to create a better entrepreneurial environment in China.This thesis is a comparative analysis,revealing the different entrepreneurial policies and supports of Swiss and China governments.It is found that,based on innovation theories,using Timmons model as analytical framework to examine the conditions of relevant models.From the angels of financing and the cultivation of start-ups,we discuss the difficulties and differences of current government policies and entrepreneurial environments between Swiss and China,and thus pointing out the most possible winning route of innovation and entrepreneurs in our country.Empirical results show that in the condition of new normal,innovation-driven policies is highly tactical,leading to better performance and the construction of the competitiveness of a country.Although the cases in the Swiss are very illustrative,its model needs to be carefully adjusted to suit the practice in China,especially from the perspectives of the construction of entrepreneurial environment,design of bio-system,entrepreneurs' education,and channels of financing.This thesis can be seen as a case study analysis,comparing the entrepreneurial practices and policies of Swiss and China.The focus on financing new business and the cultivation of start-ups is also rare in literature,making this research valuable academically.
