Comparison Of Chinese Banks' And Foreign Banks' Competitiveness In China And Retail Market Analysis

It is proposed in the 13 th Five-Year Plan to promote the two-way opening of the capital market,and it indicates that foreign banks will play an increasingly important role in the financial industry in China.Based on the domestic and the foreign research on commercial banks' competitiveness,principal factor analysis defined in econometrics was used to do empirical tests on 17 foreign banks and 20 Chinese banks in China in this paper.In the principal factor analysis framework,both ANZ Bank and Minsheng Bank were analyzed and compared.As to the weakness of ANZ bank,especially in retail markets,the influence of Minsheng Bank's mass retail business on high-end retail business was obtained via the Vector autoregression model and sequentially it was proposed to how to enhance the competitiveness of China's commercial banks.In the meanwhile,it could provide suggestions for foreign banks' further development and guide them to play their comparative advantages and to provide customers with differentiated services.
