With the economic globalization and financial integration,the implementation of internationalization strategy has become an inevitable trend.On the one hand,for the international banking industry,it faces wider market space,on the other hand,it also faces fierce competition in the global economic.After China's accession to the world trade organization,China's economy had accelerated to integrate with the world economy,with rapid growth in cross-border trade and transnational investment.Domestic enterprises have also accelerated the pace of "going out",and the vigorous development of transnational business activities,the urgent need for domestic financial institutions to provide the appropriate "follow" services.In recent years,with the acceleration of global economic integration,China's commercial banks have accelerated their international development strategy.For China's banking industry,boarded the stage of internationalization,expand the broad space for development,and actively carry out overseas mergers and acquisitions business,looking for new profit growth point.In this paper,under the background of the study,select the China Construction Bank China mergers and acquisitions United States bank(Asia)performance of case analysis,using the method of event study and financial indicator analysis method for performance analysis of the M & A events,the quantitative analysis shows that the market is not optimistic about the acquisition in the short term,but after integration,mergers and acquisitions in the late after the financial crisis,the Construction Bank financial indicators have improved in the long term,the acquisition is successful,improve the market share in the Hongkong area.Finally,this paper sums up the successful experience of cross-border mergers and acquisitions of the Construction Bank,respectively,from the rational choice of M & A goals and subsequent integration of China's banking industry in the overseas mergers and acquisitions business countermeasures and suggestions.
