| Dealing with the serious impact of economic globalization and the acceleration of the process of integration of the world, improving the performance of employees is still the most difficult and the most valuable event for most of the enterprises in our country.For a long time, it is believed that intelligence determines individual achievement, which means the more likely to be succeed with higher IQ. However, some scholars pointed out that only 20 percent of the success is related to traditional intelligence, and the remaining is for emotional intelligence. In the mid 90s of last century, foreign scholars began to pay more attention to the relationship between emotional intelligence with performance.However, the domestic researchers have a litter of progress about it. Especially, the research on the mechanism that emotional intelligence impacts on job performance is also very scarce in our country .Based on summarizing of the relevant research, we acted workplace friendship,which is a very important workplace relationships, as an intermediary variable, then building the research model and the research hypothesis. Accordingly, we investigated 220 enterprise employees by the questionnaires which had suffice authority developed under the situation of Chinese. Through the data analysis, we verified the model and the research hypothesis. Finally, putting forward to the prospect of research and management recommendations.The main conclusions of this paper are as follow.First of all, there is a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and job performance. Secondly, the emotional intelligence of employees is positively related to workplace friendship, and has a significant positive impact on workplace friendship. Thirdly, workplace friendship has a significant positive correlation with job performance, and has a significant positive impact on job performance. Last but not the least, workplace friendship plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance.The two dimensions of workplace friendship play a role in mediating the relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance, but the partial mediating effect of the opportunity is greater.The main innovation of this paper is following. First, enriched the study of emotional intelligence and job performance, through the deep study of employees’emotional intelligence and job performance by the questionnaires which had suffice authority developed under the situation of Chinese. Lastly, from the perspective of informal interpersonal relationship,revealed the internal mechanism of between emotional intelligence and work performance. |
