The Comparative Study On International Operation Of Chinese And Foreign Commercial Banks

Currently,the accelerating economic globalization and financial integration not only bring huge markets opportunities for the development of commercial banks,but also exacerbate the market competition of international commercial banks.In order to handle the challenges of international banking industry and meet the growing overseas investment demand of domestic enterprises,the implementation of international business strategy has become inevitable for the development of commercial banks in China.Therefore,through in-depth comparative analysis of large international banks and China's commercial banks,it is of vital importance to find out the existing problems to better enhance the internationalization and market competitiveness of commercial banks in China.This paper first summarizes the domestic and foreign documents on the internationalization of commercial banks,defines the basic concepts of commercial banks,and summarizes the domestic and international research on the choice of internationalization of commercial banks.Secondly,this paper studies the international business process of Chinese and foreign commercial banks,and compares the characteristics of international operation of Chinese and foreign commercial banks.Thirdly,this paper makes an empirical study on Chinese and foreign commercial banks,finds out that the main influencing factors of international operation and then explains the reasons.Then,through the study of the international development of Bank of China and Citibank,the author makes a concrete comparative study on the internationalization degree of Citibank and Bank of China from four aspects and explores the shortcomings of the process of internationalization of banks in China.Finally,based on the current situation of the internationalization of Chinese banks,this paper puts forward some effective international strategic proposals for commercial banks in China.
