Our country still has more than four percent of the population live in rural areas, rural issues as an important part of China’s comprehensive well-off society, rural logistics as a basic industry for rural develoPment, but also affect the basic livelihood of urban residents,has been the height of the government attention. Rural Logistics obtained a certain develoPment in this background. However,due to the characteristics of rural logistics and the reasons of logistics organization,the rural logistics system is still relatively backward,in order to build an efficient rural modern logistics system, make it more adaptable and promote the building a new socialist countryside, the paper made the following aspects of the study:Firstly,it expounded the research background and significance of the paper,and reviewed the domestic and foreign research results of rural logistics, joint distribution and Location - Routing problem,and laid a theoretical foundation for the follow-up research work. Secondly, it analyzed the current situation and existing problems of rural logistics,summarized the characteristics of spatial dispersion and flow directionality of rural logistics,and analyzed the factors that affect the develoPment of rural logistics. According to the characteristics of rural logistics, the countermeasures of rural logistics develoPment based on common distribution were put forward, and six common distribution modes and their characteristics were discussed. The influencing factors of mode selection were analyzed qualitatively,and the framework of rural logistics system based on common distribution was constructed.Then, considering the importance of the joint distribution center location and distribution route in the rural common distribution system, the two should be studied together, and the costs in the system were analyzed in detail to realize the construction and operation cost of the common distribution center in the rural logistics network.Transportation cost was the lowest, and the optimization model of rural logistics location and route with simultaneous delivery was constructed. According to the characteristics of the model, the model based on genetic algorithm was designed. Finally, the paper chooses Zhecheng as a background case,the application model and the solution method were used to solve the problem. In the computer with MATLAB2013a software simulation calculation,the proper location of the common distribution center and the route planning plan of the vehicle were obtained, which shows the feasibility and effectiveness of the model and the solution method.
