Research On Development Problem And Strategy Of Investment Banking Business In Bank Of China Heilongjiang Branch

In recent years,China's macroeconomic gr owth pace slows down gradually.With the deepening of marketization of interest rate and the strengthening of cross-border competition in the financial industry,commercial bankswhorely on traditional deposit and loan settlement business are forced to change.As one of the Teir-1 branches of Bank of China,Heilongjiang Branch is facing the rapid change of external market environment and the impact on its operation,and making investment banking business as an innovation and transformational products.However,due to the impact of the inner province's economic environment and BOC's overall operational situation,the development of Heilongjiang Branch's investment banking business is still at the very beginning level,faced with many problems.How to solve these problems,for the healthy development of Heilongjiang Branch investment banking business and the development of the whole bank shares very important significance.Therefore,based on the theory of commercial banks carrying out investment banking business,the related literature worldwide combined with the current situation of the development of investment banking business;using comparative studies,data analysis and other methods to find out the realistic problems of investment banking's problems.In addition,I will analysis the problems arisen from the deep reasons,thus developing specific corresponding solutions.According to the researching background and researching ideas given above,this paper mainly demonstrates the following four parts.Firstly,this paper illustrates the investment banking concept,the related theory of commercial banks carrying out investment banking business and the introduction of research status and research methods;secondly,this paper introduces the general situation of BOC Heilongjiang branch,its investment banking business development and SWOT analysis of investment banking business within Heilongjiang Province;thirdly,this paper analyzes the issues of BOC Heilongjiang branch investment banking business,including four aspects: the competitiveness of products,customer resource,team buildingand risk management problems,while root problems are discussed;lastly,this paper come s up with five practical strategies: changing management idea to create a premium brand,combing investment bank system to promote innovation and development of major products,develop Customer base and broaden business boundaries,strengthen team building and personnel training,establish linkage mechanism to strengthen business assessment and strengthening risk management.Hopefully,these strategies could help Bank of China Heilongjiang Branch out of the predicament in respect to investment banking business development and provides effective countermeasures and suggestions.
