Income distribution is always a significant research issue in China's reform process.Education,an individual variable and labor market segmentation which is a structural variable are two main variables that are used when scholars study income distribution. Now I think as follow, some problems need to study more clearly.First, when scholars discussed how education influenced personal income, the expansion of college enrollment was an important time division point, while researches on it were rare and its conclusion were not the same.Second, when scholars discussed how labor market segmentation influenced personal income,State-owned enterprise reformed from the late 1990 s to early twenty century was a significant case while researches about it were rare.Last,in a segmented labor market, whether there are or were differences and what the differences are or were between the processes of how individual education and structural education is still need to clarify.Based on the Chinese general social survey from 2005 to 2013,with the Mincer equation and its expanded model, using ordinary least square to estimate the regression coefficients,I discussed the the trends of how education and labor market segmentation influenced income from 2004 to 2012.Follow are the conclusions.First, the economic returns on education from 2004 to 2012 were tended to stable instead of the previous growing trends.Labors in different Hukou, department and industries had different economic returns on education. My research showed that urban labors,non-state owned enterprises labors and monopoly labors had economic returns on education advantages than other labors, but the differences between different hukous and departments tended to be smaller and the differences between different industries were not pronounced Second, labor market segmentation influenced the economy returns of education,Third, labor market segmentation influenced individual income.Labors in different Hukou, department and industries had different income. My research showed that urban labors,non-state owned enterprises labors and monopoly labors had income advantages than other labors.Forth, the income differences between different Hukous, departments and industries became smaller.Last, compared with labor market segmentation, education played a more important role when they influenced individual income.
