A Study On The Influence Of Integration Of Informationization And Industrialization On Industrial Total Factor Productivity

Since the reform and opening up,China's industry has achieved high-speed growth at the expense of high investment,high energy consumption and high emissions,resulting in resource consumption and environmental problems are increasing,the traditional industrial road become unsustainable.China's industry must take a new road to industrialization,that is,with informatization to drive the industrialization,and with industrialization to promote the informatization,walk out a new road to industrialization of high technological content,good economic returns,low resource consumption,less environmental pollution and human resources advantages to are given full play.The essence of this road is through the integration of informationization and industrialization(be called for short III)to promote the growth of industrial total factor productivity(TFP).Therefore,it is an important subject of government and academia paying close attention to explore the influence mechanism of the III on the total factor productivity.On the basis of combing the relevant research results at the domestic and foreign,this paper effectively integrates the theory of the III and TFP,aimed at exploring the internal influence mechanism of the III to TFP.Firstly,improved the existing III's index system,measured the TFP of China's industry and decomposed it.Secondly,quantitatively investigate the influence of the III and its internal sub-indexes on TFP,and further used the mediating effect to explore the the internal influence mechanism of the III to TFP.The results show that:(1)III has a positive effect on the industrial TFP,which is by technological efficiency and technological progress as mediators.(2)Each index of III to industrial TFP is not balanced,and the degree and effect of information technology embedded in all links of industrial production have no significant effect on industrial TFP.Finally,based on the above conclusions,the paper puts forward some policy suggestions to advance into III and promote the growth of industrial TFP.
