With the rapid development of the world economy and the gradual globalization,China's internationalization of the economy is accelerating, and constantly changing the labor structure and social employment structure.Opening to the outside world, especially foreign direct investment(FDI),has had an important impact on China's economic development. At the same time,as an important starting point for accelerating the development of new economy, fostering the development of new kinetic energy and creating new engine development, entrepreneurship also plays an important role in promoting China's economic development.Since Premier Li Keqiang put forward the "public entrepreneurship, public innovation",the entrepreneurship has become a hot topic. In this context, the study of entrepreneurial factors has also become a hot issue. This paper explores the relationship between FDI and entrepreneurship in the host country from the perspective of individual entrepreneurial choice.Theoretical studies have shown that FDI has a positive effect on the host country's entrepreneurship and can also have a negative impact.Empirical studies based on personal data at the China Household Income Project(CHIP)in 2013 show that FDI has a significant negative impact on China's individual entrepreneurial choices and reduces the probability of individual entrepreneurship choices. The empirical results are further confirmed in the case study. The conclusion of this paper has certain policy implications.
