Since the early 21 st century,the rapid development of information technology has driven the Internet technology into wide applications in many fields.There arises a new model of online retail called e-commerce which combines traditional retail with the Internet technology.With the development of e-commerce,traditional online payments such as commercial banks cannot meet the demands of users.An emerging payment industries represented by the Third-Party Payment,is gradually becoming the bridge between banks and users.On the one hand,the bank’s income mainly comes from the difference of deposits and loans.The commercial banks are less interested in micropayment business which features small amount and high frequency and hope to cooperate and share profits with the Third-Party Payment.On the other hand,the credit intermediary mode pioneers,such as Alipay and Tenpay have developed effectively and rapidly accumulate advantages of user information flow,payment information flow as well as cash flow and accelerate their layout in more payment occasions.The increasing size of this industry encroaches on the interests of the commercial banks,forcing the banks to huddle together to deal with the Third-Party Payment competition.In order to alleviate the tension between the emerging Third-Party Payment Platforms and the traditional commercial banks,it is necessary to improve the supervision of the Third-Party Payment Platforms,adjust the benefit coefficient reasonably and promote the subjective efforts of both parties.To address this purpose,this dissertation will discuss about the competition and cooperation strategic choices between the Third-Party Payment and commercial banks from theoretical and empirical aspects.The basic structure of this dissertation is as follows: Chapter One is a brief overview of the background and significance of this dissertation by sorting out domestic and foreign research conclusions about the Third-Party Payment Platforms and commercial banks.Chapter Two constructs the theoretical framework of strategic choice of Third-Party Payment Platforms in cooperation and competition with commercial banks,including the definition and research scope,the characteristics of the bilateral market represented by the Third-Party Payment,the choice theory of industry behavior and the Third-Party Payment strategic analysis as well as the impact on commercial banks.Chapter Three describes the current situation of competition and cooperation between the Third-Party Payment Platforms and commercial banks by the gradually progressive means,and describes the influence of the scale’s change of the Third-Party Payment Platforms on the interests of commercial banks by means of panel regression analysis.Chapter Four analyzes the evolution of long-term behavior choice of Third-Party Payment Platforms and commercial bank and the factors that affect the competition and cooperation strategy between them under the assumption of bounded rationality by constructing evolutionary game theory.At the end of this dissertation,the author puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions on how to coordinate the relationship between the Third-Party Payment Platforms and the commercial banks on the basis of the above conclusion and evolutionary game conclusion...
